Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Groot is pretty underpowered and poorly thought out. I haven't played the last couple missions but have heard bad things. The first missions was quite fun at least.

Rocket Raccoon is one of my favourites but I haven't played much Groot. Drang and Escape the Museum are my favourites. Infiltrate the Museum is ok, but Nebula and Ronan are nasty in true solo. Modulars are great. Galactic Artifacts, Ship Command & Power Stone are my favourite. I've used Space Pirates the least. Campaigns don't interest me so I haven't played it. If defeat would move the campaign forward like in Arkham then I could play it at least once.

A good game design requires players to rebuild and rethink their strategy. A lousy and poor game design is when a particular scenario requires a PERFECT DRAW of starting hand and requires more LUCK to even have a chance to win the scenario.
