its pretty simple to understand the basic game mechanics but the playing and the meta gaming, is so much like an onion. My biggest issue is that it really plays best with 4 players. I would really like to see them expand to 5 or even 6. less than 4 and I feel you dont get enough game.

Not a deck builder, but rather a deck changing game. You begin the game with most of your cards being blank. As you progress, you alter your cards. It's an interesting mechanic.

1 play / 4 players LIKE: I enjoyed seeing which cards I to each round, then attempting to push my luck for one more card. I liked upgrading my cards and how the number of cards in the deck was limited. This is unlike other deck builders where the deck gets bigger, this one stays constant. DISLIKE: All the tiny text on all the cards, and to make matters worse, the cards are shiny which makes it difficult to see anything. The cards had high variance, so I found it very random. I also felt the variation of icons were limited, making each turn feel dull and rote. OVERALL: I'm not a huge fan of deckbuilders. This one was okay, but the small text was an extreme turnoff. The expansion added even more text, so for me, I didn't enjoy it. I suspect this to be better as a two-player game. Similar games: Splendor, Dominion
