Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Very neat concept of sending heroes to different timelines. There are a few weird circumstances that are quite covered by the rules,

Amazingly good expansion. The way it splits up your team is the most novel mechanic I’ve seen in the game. There are so many versions of Kang to face, you can replay this scenario very often and it will constantly feel new. There are three difficulties of villain encounter sets, and we found that, other than the easiest set, these were all very, very hard to beat.

Reviewed after one play two-handed solo. Really enjoyable. I love the way the creators and team give new experiences and this one is really fantastic. A challenge even on standard. Lots of game time in this one for sure. I actually think it will play fine true solo but best two-handed or multiplayer I would guess.
