Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Great scenario even for solo play. He is much longer play though, since you have to go through all three villain stages. Some good modular encounter sets as well.

After just a couple play, arguably the most interesting multi-player villain in the game. Which is a good thing.

Super fun multiplayer villain. I love how the gameplay mechanics are tied to the theme perfectly. Playing with two players is very fun as there are four different possible time outcomes that you might have to face, a different one for each player. And failure during that phase just means the last phase will be that much more difficult, not game over. Love that. Would HIGHLY recommend this pack for multiplayer, however not the best for pure solo. Even two handing solo is more complicated because you have to manage two completely different areas of play, but it is possible.
