With Lieutenant Packs for Descent: Journeys in the Dark Second Edition, you can replace the game’s lieutenant tokens and bring the overlord’s most powerful agents to life. The Splig Lieutenant Pack features a detailed plastic figure that places its deadly operative, the “King of all Goblins,” on equal footing with Terrinoth’s champions. Moreover, it includes a plot deck and rules that allow the overlord to pursue devious new strategies, inserting this fat and cowardly goblin into any quest as his nefarious agent!

Nouvelles mécanique d'agent très sympa avec les pions de menace. Pas indispensable mais cela ajoute une bonne mécanique de jeu (surtout pour le seigneur du mal :) ).

I like the theme of his plot deck. Splig has nice synergy with wilderness monsters. Appears in a lot of scenarios. I think the fact that he appears in multiple expansions, adds to his usefulness. If you are going to buy one Lieutenant, I think Splig offers the most bang for the buck.

Splig is one of the better lieutenant packs, and maybe the best one for the base game. He certainly has the best card for farming threat, which supports the use of all the other cards in the deck.
