In Action Point (AP) Allowance System games, each player is allotted a certain amount of points per round. These points can be spent on available actions, until the player does not have enough remaining to "purchase" any more actions.

Dungeon Crawler
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards.     I bought this for the miniature. I will probably never use the extra rules, so it's too much money just for the mini. For a better price I would surely have bought all lieutenants.

  2. Miniatures for the bosses rather than tokens plus more tactical choices for the overlord make these a must have.

  3. 7 out of 10

    Replacing the cardboard token with a proper figure makes this a winner already. But it also adds new rules that lets you slip the lieutenant into regular scenarios (albeit as a weaker agent). Plus, new cards and mechanics to flesh out lieutenants a bit more helps to make this a great addition to the game.
