Join your fellow heroes to battle an ancient demon in the Treaty of Champions Hero and Monster Collection for Descent: Journeys in the Dark! Four heroes unite to defeat this deadly threat, while the overlord player gains ten monster figures, including the brand-new crow hags, which enter Descent for the first time in this expansion.

Descent is a game that you can keep adding to, and with 9 different character packs to choose from, Treaty of Champions was one of the first I bought alongside Oath of the outcast. The contents are certainly worthwhile. For starters, you get 4 heroes, a dwarf complete with a slap the Keyboard name, a female demon thing, a man dressed in green to blend into the wild who can't resist showing off his biceps thereby ruining the purpose of camouflage and even a Jonas brother. In terms of adding them blindly into the main game, they all work well and you can get a good level of fun out of them whilst you are looking for your best pick hero; personally I like Zyla as she can move over terrain without getting hurt and has an eject button which causes all of your teammates to look at you whilst they get feverishly wailed upon by the Overlord's minions. The monsters really kick this up a gear, Skeleton Archers are deceptively powerful, Demon lords are absolutely mental and Crow hags are so beautifully unfair, you may never end up using them more than once. Overall, all components add to the game, however as expected with these packs for Descent, you are mainly here for the characters and the rumor cards and the overlord card don't add much to the experience. I'd certainly recommend purchasing this if your campaign is getting a little stale.

I was able to purchase this for 50% off during a ding and dent sale. I do not like the heroes as much in this collection as I do some others. They are all somewhat above average but none would be considered top tier in their class. However, there are some good monsters. In particular, the demon lords and the skeleton archers. The archers go well with the reanimates/skeletons from Mists of Bilehall.
