The Serena Lieutenant Pack features two detailed plastic figures, representing both Serena the hero and Serena the lieutenant. The priestess from Labyrinth of Ruin is now truly on equal footing with Terrinoth’s champions, whether she fights for good or for evil.

Replacing the cardboard token with a proper figure makes this a winner already. But it also adds new rules that lets you slip the lieutenant into regular scenarios (albeit as a weaker agent). Plus, new cards and mechanics to flesh out lieutenants a bit more helps to make this a great addition to the game. And to top this all off, this pack comes with 2 figures, one for the lieutenant and one to be used as a hero - together with the included hero stat card!

I put things here that I think are cool, but from more of a collectors standpoint. These items would be good for filling out an order to make minimum shipping or to pick up if they go on clearance. Miniatures for the bosses rather than tokens plus more tactical choices for the overlord make these a must have.

At least one lieutenant pack is necessary for any Overlord playing Descent. The game is more than a bit unbalanced in favor of the heroes and these provide more options for the Overlord that might give him a bit of a fighting chance. These lieutenant packs contain a deck of cards, tokens, and a plastic miniature. The deck of cards provides the Overlord with some additional options by spending tokens that he earns through adventures. This eventually swings back in the favor of the heroes a little bit because after spending these tokens they are given to the heroes to use for small bonuses. An Overlord can only use one lieutenant pack per campaign so I haven't used them all but have bought many due to the awesome plastic miniature to replace the cardboard token representing most of the villains in the game. One day I plan to paint them all but that is more of a pipe dream than attainable goal...
