Additions rated separately (rating is all + out of 10): CLASSES + Geomancer. Cool earth theme. Doesn't get picked much though due to complexity not matching the output. + Champion. Cool horns and buffs theme. Wish it was stronger/more usable. HEROES + Quellen - Reynhart Almost gave both a minus for being the ONLY box expansion in Descent that does not keep the gender ratio even. But the non-box expansions blow that concept up immediately so whatever I guess. MONSTERS + Hybrid Sentinels monster. Cool and usable. - Fire imps. Cool but not impactful monster for Overlord. + Wyrm Queen. So cool I bought the mini. Wish it came in the box. Not used enough in the scenarios. MISC + Tiles / Scenarios. Really cool. Some are meh but most are cool and add new stuff. + Items / Relics / Conditions / Trap rooms - Overlord Punisher class. Overlord always feels trash in every version of Descent. This one is bad for the OL AND super shitty for heroes to experience. So not even a threat but deals psychic damage directly to the player.

This expansion added more of everything, but in very small amounts. However, it added enough I felt the purchase was worth it. With the addition of the side quest mechanic, it integrates into and lengthens campaigns and a longer campaign with Descent is always a plus. And, since these are side quests, if you want to do a short game of Descent that is now possible.

Overall, thrilled to have more critters for Descent, but I'm not thrilled by the secret room rules and some of the new fiddly mechanisms.
