I thought this did not add a whole lot to the game, and the additional missions are rather clumsily shoehorned into the base campaign. The Secret Rooms also don't seem to be worth the trouble.

First off, it's nice to have options. So to adorn a game that's designed to be expansible is almost a necessity. New heroes - great. New monsters - great. New quest - more than great. But the implementation of secret rooms is done forcibly to implement new stuff in the game. It's almost never given a chance and it's just a tease for heroes to attempt when they are either sure to lose or win. Not to be tried during pressing quests (which almost all are!). Finally, I don't see a reason for the OL to throw in the side-quest in a normal campaign at all. He's pretty well off playing the 9 mandatory quests. By trying the expansion quests he's giving the opportunity to heroes to venture for more $$$ and stronger equipment. There should be a reward for OL introducing the Wyrm campaign. Maybe houserule it.
