I was surprised how much my wife and I enjoyed this Ticket to Ride release. We bought it with high anticipation and before we played watched Dice Tower review of it. I was disappointed to see Tom Vasel not like this game. But when we played it, we loved it so much. We have played only Ticket to Ride, Ticket to Ride Europe, and Nordic Countries, but this one moved to the top of our list. The game is longer, but the tension was there the whole time. We played the World side with 5 people, and the Great Lakes side with just us two. Both were great but we prefer the World side and can't wait to play again. 9.5 for excellence. Not 10 because for how much money it is, the train and boat pieces did not seem as high of quality, but the more we play it the less I mind because I'm having a lot of fun. Probably would rate a little lower because of price, but we got it brand new for $50 instead of $80, so can't complain. Even with the 80 dollars I still would rate 8.5 because the game is great.

Great advancement in the TTR series IMO. Pretty heavy compare to the original TTR, but the rule is still not very complicated like Britain and Europe. My family with 8 yo. loves it as a new favorite.

A lot more challenging and interesting than the original game. The extra factors don't make it that much harder to play, but a lot harder to play well. Ports seem to be weighted too heavily in this version, but that might just because I haven't played it much.
