Ticket to Ride: Nordic Countries takes you on a Nordic adventure through Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden as you travel to the great northern cities of Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki, and Stockholm. This version was initially available only in the Nordic Countries of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland; a worldwide limited-edition release occurred in August 2008 and it has since been kept in print again by Days of Wonder.

Seems that many Ticket to Rides are designed for 3+ players and currently Europe is my favourite of the series. Fortunately there are some smaller versions like Nordic Countries that is great especially for two players and still satisfying content.

I know that I hem and haw over the TTR franchise, but I love map games and the whole learning geography factor... brutal map, very competitive, easy to get cut off and turned out, not really enjoyable. A bonus is that the parts can be used for the Switzerland expansion (map does not fit in box though).

Another installment of TTR, this time for 2-3 players. Certain route once the first player starts to build it, will block the other players from ever to reach their destination city. So in that sense, it's a rather cut throat game at the initial stage. The multi use of cards to supplement a Color needed in the ferries and Murmansk route is a very interesting idea. Overall, a good investment for beginners. Retains the flavour of TTR and still challenging to play.
