The technologies in the UK map and stocks in the Pennsylvania map add some really interesting variant mechanics that help breath a bit of new life into the game. The stocks in particular are probably the best part of the expansion as they add a little more of a challenge and competition.

Pennsylvania Map is really awesome, I enjoy the Stocks not worrying about the value of each line played... UK map is GREAT, I really wish it wasn't only 4 players not sure why they are making 4 player maps... I get 3... but not 4..... Any 5 player map is EASILY playable w/ 4.... Oh well

I absolutely love both the Penn & UK versions! I have not decided which is my favorite version, but whichever it is, it is definitely my favorite version of the game to play. (The other is a close 2nd). The stock option for Penn is an excellent way to make you think before selecting tickets and building routes. You can build lots of small routes and collect stocks for bonus points at the end or you can build the long routes and collect fewer stocks but score far more points from your built routes. In the end though, it's usually whomever connected the most routes over 10 points that wins. The UK version is probably the mot intricate version-you have to purchase the rights and technology to build routes- but that's what makes I so much fun. If you love the original game, and love strategy games, This is definitely the best version for you.
