Ticket to Ride Map Collection: Volume 5 – United Kingdom & Pennsylvania contains a double-sided game board with new rules for use with Ticket to Ride or Ticket to Ride: Europe with players now creating train lines in the British Isles and in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania is great. UK adds engine building, where my impression is mixed. In principle you could try out all sorts of new strategies, but I don't know how many of them would work. If you play UK close to the normal game, then you'll always need the same tech cards.

Contents in with base game UK Played 2 handed against Ian - easy to pick up and map looks like it would be cutthroat with lots of players. After repeated playings it feels like it's unbalanced - keep picking up two blind cards until you can do the New York route and worry about other stuff later Pennsylvania played 5 handed and it's lethal - just go for stocks! Pennsylvania Checked the rules - you get a globetrotter bonus of 15 for completing most routes and you DO score for laying tracks despite the absence of a scoring chart

I absolutely love both the Penn & UK versions! I have not decided which is my favorite version, but whichever it is, it is definitely my favorite version of the game to play. (The other is a close 2nd). The stock option for Penn is an excellent way to make you think before selecting tickets and building routes. You can build lots of small routes and collect stocks for bonus points at the end or you can build the long routes and collect fewer stocks but score far more points from your built routes. In the end though, it's usually whomever connected the most routes over 10 points that wins. The UK version is probably the mot intricate version-you have to purchase the rights and technology to build routes- but that's what makes I so much fun. If you love the original game, and love strategy games, This is definitely the best version for you.
