My favorite of the expansions. I like the technology in the UK complication....but you shouldn't make this your first ticket to ride game AND too complicated for kids under 9 or so.

Ticket to ride UK is the best version to me, as it adds an engine building component (literally!) to the game and it suits two players just right. You may specialize in certain routes, on top of fulfilling tickets, which further squeeze more points on your final scoring.

I absolutely love both the Penn & UK versions! I have not decided which is my favorite version, but whichever it is, it is definitely my favorite version of the game to play. (The other is a close 2nd). The stock option for Penn is an excellent way to make you think before selecting tickets and building routes. You can build lots of small routes and collect stocks for bonus points at the end or you can build the long routes and collect fewer stocks but score far more points from your built routes. In the end though, it's usually whomever connected the most routes over 10 points that wins. The UK version is probably the mot intricate version-you have to purchase the rights and technology to build routes- but that's what makes I so much fun. If you love the original game, and love strategy games, This is definitely the best version for you.
