Our first game was a 2 player with neutral player. Quite good. Neutral player took up some great routes and affected both of us. Bonus did not make a difference as my wife got the bonus but I still won. Second game with 4 players. Much more cut-throat. The bonus here did make quite a difference overall. I tend to think it is a bit overbalanced in points. Next play will be 5 players. one major negative factor with this board...the FONT used for towns is absolutely terrible. Very difficult to read, even looking at it directly, let alone from sides or upside down.

Tickets are worth an insane amount of points, first game with the 55 point bonus, winner was in the 250's which is excessive.... My Group didn't like this one at all (Its still TTR to me...) IMO they took a step back. The bridges didn't add that much strategy, especially since Routes that are one link away were worth 15+ points in some case? You can complete tickets all day long in this one and still score a ton! Maybe the rating will go up after more plays... but its going to be a while before my group probably even allows me to bring this near the table, little lone play it again.

Initially I enjoyed this game, but after a few plays I have become very dissatisfied with the end bonus cards - a swing of a few coins can make a 50-point swing in scores, and that's just too much of a random factor. In our last game, two players built their initial tickets, then just built cheap (long) connections to run their supply of trains out. And won by a mile. That's not an interesting game for me.
