The game-end bonus structure awards points to those who were efficient with their money. Unfortunately, the scale of those points always seems to negate in-game performance. I do not think I've ever played a game where the winner was someone other than whoever scored the 55 point bonus.

BGG Secret Santa 2016 Key differences: ticket values are inflated (from 12 to 35 points); unused tickets are discarded face-up, shuffled when pile is exhausted; players have a supply of bridge tokens that they have to pay whenever they build a route - prices vary from 1 to 4, and if a parallel route has already been built, the first builder receives the fee; the vast majority of the tracks are parallel; the only bonus is for the most bridge tokens remaining, and it's huge (up to 55 points); you can go into debt on the bridge tokens for a point penalty.

Allright Allright, I'm a Ticket to Ride fan : and again these map brings something new that's good. A lot of points to earn in this variant and spending too much money isn't good. I had 8 tickets but lost from someone with 4 tickets with one that wasn't reached. So I have to change my tactics. Well, the game is more luck dependent than most others, so I decreased my score to 7.
