Days of Wonder’s Ticket to Ride Map Collection is a series of expansions for Alan R. Moon’s Ticket to Ride, with each expansion including a double-sided game board and destination tickets and rules for those locations.

The Legendary Asia map is fine, and all, with interesting twists, but is ultimately the same game. The "lost train" feature does make those shorter routes more interesting, as it's a better value for trains used / cards spent than on longer routes, and it can also allow players to sort of rush the end of the game, which hurts long routes / big ticket strategies. The Team Asia map was a lot of fun, and plenty interesting in terms of trying to figure out what destinations to reveal and what to share and what to extrapolate from the information. Adds some really, really cool twists to the game system.

Two gorgeous maps to play on, by combining a set of Train Cards and plastic trains from either TtR or TtR: Europe with the new components here. Asia is meant for 2-3 pairs of players, and introduces some nice wooden card holders with which you can share common card pools. Legendary Asia is the new single player map, which features a new Mountain Path mechanic and is frankly one of my fave boards in the game system. If you love Ticket to Ride, then this is certainly a worthwhile addition.

Great job by Francois Valentyne on the Legendary Asia board. A fun game that is a good introduction to non gamers.
