Germany was our fourth TTR board. I bought it because it was my favorite of the online versions. Meeples became not only a game changer but an inspiration for creating my own game tokens and rules for TTR expansion games. I have designed and fabricated tokens from metal for the US, Euro, and Asia boards and have developed varying rules on how these tokens are used. Some tokens are board specific, even city-specific, while others are nomads that can be used in cities with cultural connections. I am truly a board game geek. I would like to take these ideas to market, but the cost of producing the tokens my way - as an aerospace machinist - would never work. I have spent hundreds of dollars on my sets of tokens, not including my labor.

Similar to the original Ticket to Ride but adds set collection of different colored meeples that are at the endpoints of connections. In addition to the usual scoring mechanisms, you score points for having the most (or second most) of each color of meeple at the end of the game.

This is my favorite Ticket To Ride version, it used to be Nordic Countries which is still a very close favorite. I love the art on both of these, just beautiful, but the Germany map version has the passengers and that adds something very cool to the game, even though you can play without the passengers. So after playing it once it quickly became my favorite. Unfortunately the Ticket to Ride Germany app doesn't include the passengers, and I hear the actual German version of this game also doesn't include the passengers, just the American release. Great game.
