All games to this point have been played without the use of the meeples. It is still a fun map with decisions on short vs. long tickets. Board definitely gets crowded with 5 players.

Passenger mechanic adds fiddliness without appreciably increasing interesting strategy decisions. This is particularly evident in a two player game. 100-point scoring track ridiculously inadequate; winning scores over 200 easily possible in a two player game. "Take 4 keep 1" ticket drawing exacerbates a general "luck of the draw" issue for the TTR series.

This map is atrocious at 3 players, and less than half way through the game without playing particularly aggressively we had 7 of the 8 tickets in the game completely blocked. We stopped playing as no one was having fun. Went through the ticket deck, less than 30% of the tickets were actually possible at that stage taking into consideration number of trains and single tracks only. The best way to play this is ignore tickets completely, but Ticket to Ride where tickets aren't a factor doesn't feel like Ticket to Ride.
