Despite being billed as a kids version of Ticket to Ride (a game I very much like), the game only removes in game scoring (and so the need to add numbers?) and shrinks the board. Else, this is identical to Ticket to Ride. As a result, I don't think it works as a kids game or if it does, so does the regular Ticket to Ride: completing tickets is the end game condition, but the complexity of routing from one city to the next is too complicated for younger kids - i.e. if they can figure that out, they probably can add too - so why not let them play the regular (and much better) game?

Satisfactory intro to the classic gateway game. Very tactile and visually appealing to younger audience; they have a sense of ownership controlling their trains and routes. Found that the six year-old playing it quickly graduated to the full Ticket to Ride offering.

Nice, simplified version of the original. Works well with children, good for family nights, though I've seen adults get competitive with it. The game says 6+, but I've played a collaborative version of it with slightly younger children where they just had fun building railways together.
