Outstanding introduction to the series in addition to being a decent children's game. The goal is fulfilling six tickets rather than scoring points and drawing cards substitutes for card drafting. Don't ask why there is a whale in the Great Salt Lake and you'll have a good time.

It's more luck-based than 'grown up' Ticket to Ride, plays faster, and takes out the point calculation. In other words, it's exactly what it is meant to be, Ticket to Ride Jr. The production is nice, and it does teach you the groundwork for the other games in the series, but it does some of that decision making in the original. Bought for my son when he's older.

This is the first board game that my six year old has really gotten into. It's very similar to the adult version but with some slimmed down rules, fewer routes, larger pieces, and prominent icons for each city to assist with route identification. I usually play on a team with my 4 year old and he's been enjoying it as well. Would definitely recommend if you like Ticket to Ride and have younger children.
