Despite being billed as a kids version of Ticket to Ride (a game I very much like), the game only removes in game scoring (and so the need to add numbers?) and shrinks the board. Else, this is identical to Ticket to Ride. As a result, I don't think it works as a kids game or if it does, so does the regular Ticket to Ride: completing tickets is the end game condition, but the complexity of routing from one city to the next is too complicated for younger kids - i.e. if they can figure that out, they probably can add too - so why not let them play the regular (and much better) game?

This game is only slightly modified from the original and can be played with some of the missing rules without problems. The map has nice symbols for the kids and the scoring cards are all worth 1 point. The pieces are not of the same quality as the original and you need to watch your kids with the cards as they crease easily. Very good game for ages 5+ until they are ready for the real versions.

Great with young kids (3,5&7) to introduce them to this genre. If you have young kids and want to get them into board gaming - this is a nice pickup. My 7 prefers the full version with more strategy but great game for the kids if you dont have the original Ticket to Ride.
