This version of the modern classic is too simplified to be very enjoyable, the original should be easy enough for young players anyway

Despite being billed as a kids version of Ticket to Ride (a game I very much like), the game only removes in game scoring (and so the need to add numbers?) and shrinks the board. Else, this is identical to Ticket to Ride. As a result, I don't think it works as a kids game or if it does, so does the regular Ticket to Ride: completing tickets is the end game condition, but the complexity of routing from one city to the next is too complicated for younger kids - i.e. if they can figure that out, they probably can add too - so why not let them play the regular (and much better) game?

This just keeps getting better with more plays. It's simple enough for our 4 yr old (mainly because it doesn't require reading), while challenging and fun enough for our 7 yr old and us parents. We got TTR: Europe for when the 4 yr old isn't playing but so far it looks like we're prefering this one regardless.
