Ticket to Ride: New York features the familiar gameplay from the Ticket to Ride game series — collect cards, claim routes, draw tickets — but on a scaled-down map of Manhattan that allows you to complete a game in no more than 15 minutes.

I've always felt Ticket to Ride was way too long for what it is, and I never really wanted to play it because of that. THIS version is exactly what the game should be: super quick, tight, competitive, excellent light filler.

Another good one for the pub. Small footprint, check. Quick play, check. Not too over-thinky, check. Easy to teach, check. What I like about this one is that you can push your luck and grab those destination cards late in the game to gamble on completing them. Who cares if you don't, the game is over in 15 minutes (or less). Rinse, repeat. Decent interaction when snagging a route someone wanted. But, I enjoyed it for what it was, a $20 enjoyable time over a could pints. Recommended.

Not much to say really. It doesn't what is says on the tin - a short version of TtR that hits the spot and is great for taking away on holiday. It went down very well with the people I played it with and I think it's anpother good idea from Alan Moon.
