Ticket to Ride: New York features the familiar gameplay from the Ticket to Ride game series — collect cards, claim routes, draw tickets — but on a scaled-down map of Manhattan that allows you to complete a game in no more than 15 minutes.

They literally could've made a bigger game and used all of New York City. As someone born and raised here, when I heard about this I was very excited to play Ticket To Ride in my own backyard, but the fact that the board is only the lower half of Manhattan makes this a game that I've only played once and that once felt like a bummer/letdown.

I bought this because I was told that it was the feeling of playing TtR in 15 minutes. It's true that it takes 15 minutes, but it really fell flat for us. It is so short that none of the tension of the original game comes through.

A nice, quick little TTR game. The game moves so quickly that you have to really keep your eyes on the other players taxi cab inventory. It's easy to get caught with too many unplayed cabs. It's really a gamble to draw a third ticket because of the small number of cabs but it can be a worthwhile gamble at the very end if you're sure you're about to lose anyways.
