Ticket to Ride: Europe takes you on a new train adventure across Europe. From Edinburgh to Constantinople and from Lisbon to Moscow, you’ll visit great cities of turn-of-the-century Europe. Like the original Ticket to Ride, the game remains elegantly simple, can be learned in 5 minutes, and appeals to both families and experienced gamers. Ticket to Ride: Europe is a complete, new game and does not require the original version.

This was our gateway to the world of modern board games. If the cards could talk... they had been used a lot(back then i didn't know about sleeves) The game had retired since we have the Anniversary Edition but will always have a place on the shelf, and a soft spot in my heart

2016-06-23 (rating 7.5): I like this game more now. 2010-05-13 (rating 6.9): A fine light, family game. The trains theme works for me well. But the game does involve lots of luck. On the plus side it also teaches geography somewhat.

Of all the versions of this game, Europe is not my favorite yet I still immensely enjoy playing it. The "new" mountain passes make for added difficulty and mirror the real life challenge it took to build the actual European railway system. While I do enjoy the station building system (in which a player can build a station on a city allowing them to use an opposing player's route to connect to a city), it is my least favorite modified way of playing-although it is usually necessary to complete all of your routes.
