Ticket to Ride: Europe takes you on a new train adventure across Europe. From Edinburgh to Constantinople and from Lisbon to Moscow, you’ll visit great cities of turn-of-the-century Europe. Like the original Ticket to Ride, the game remains elegantly simple, can be learned in 5 minutes, and appeals to both families and experienced gamers. Ticket to Ride: Europe is a complete, new game and does not require the original version.

Of all the versions of this game, Europe is not my favorite yet I still immensely enjoy playing it. The "new" mountain passes make for added difficulty and mirror the real life challenge it took to build the actual European railway system. While I do enjoy the station building system (in which a player can build a station on a city allowing them to use an opposing player's route to connect to a city), it is my least favorite modified way of playing-although it is usually necessary to complete all of your routes.

The best base version of Ticket to Ride (the Europe map is better than the basic American one). It will become a household name in our lifetime, and is something every family or play group should have. Again, Europe is better than the original/10th Anniversary map and rules, but for smaller playgroups of couples or threes the Nordic base game is also recommended. Europe is still better however and more easily integrates with the map pack expansions.

A bit unsure of this one. I think I prefer the base version; too much to consider. We played with stations but not tunnels as they seemed to be slightly complex for a game of this type.
