With elegantly simple gameplay, Ticket to Ride can be learned in under 15 minutes, while providing players with intense strategic and tactical decisions every turn. Players collect cards of various types of train cars they then use to claim railway routes in North America. The longer the routes, the more points they earn. Additional points come to those who fulfill Destination Tickets – goal cards that connect distant cities; and to the player who builds the longest continuous route.

Great fun when you can round up three or more players, and my go-to game for trying to get non-gamers to play something.

From the series I have played, it's least Ticket to Ride that I like. It's great gateway game, but after a few plays, you might want something more. I prefer Europe, or something significant expansion (maybe like United Kingdom & Pennsylvania).

Has risen from a 6 to a 7 after several plays For such a simple game, and one that contains a lot of luck there is quite a bit of turn angst (especially in the endgame), a quality I definitely like in a game. I certainly want to give it more plays. Overall a good game with some flaws. But even with its flaws I always seem to enjoy myself.
