With elegantly simple gameplay, Ticket to Ride can be learned in under 15 minutes, while providing players with intense strategic and tactical decisions every turn. Players collect cards of various types of train cars they then use to claim railway routes in North America. The longer the routes, the more points they earn. Additional points come to those who fulfill Destination Tickets – goal cards that connect distant cities; and to the player who builds the longest continuous route.

I get the hype of the game. It is fun, but I would not want to play it too much, because I could see it getting old.

I'm undefeated at this game (from my wife...) But then she beat me (ONCE!) at Nordic Countries. She keeps trying, though. Doesn't matter how many times I win. SHe really likes this game! EDIT: Nope... She's starting to beat me now... ARGH

The gameplay is solid, but I feel like it's the most overproduced game I've ever owned. So many little trains, such a big board, such a big box, and all to play a cute rummy thing. As someone who prefers games to be compact if they can be, it's not worth the shelf space and fiddly pieces, for me.
