The Scythe: Modular Board expansion allows you to change the landscape of Eastern Europa every time you play Scythe thanks to its double-sided game board and four large double-sided landscape tiles. Faction locations, i.e., the home base tiles, change each time you play.
The modular board adds a drafting element to set-up, along with a variant for a tighter map at lower player counts.

Scythe can become very chess-like after repeated plays. However, this keeps it fresh and I will never play with the original board again (aside from teaching newbies). Bonus: For two to three player games, playing with this, using only two or three of the map, makes the game very tight and tasty. Easily the best expansion for me.

I love it for the variability in set-up, but the tiles spin on the board, don't lie flat or still. They are constantly being bumped, shifting units and resources. Great idea, but i need to figure out how to get them to stay put. Not reccomended with new players, use the original board until they get the hang of it.

Unfortunately only "standard" seize. If we play with 5 or especially with six players, we need the large board... ;-( Idea: 10 from 10 Realization: 1 from 10 or in BGG a rating of max. 4...
