While empires rise and fall in Eastern Europa, the rest of the world takes notice. Two distant factions, Albion and Togawa, send emissaries to scout the land and employ their own distinct styles of conquering. The expansion works seamlessly with any version of Scythe.

Having invaders is always nice to have extra players and new characters but was a disappointment because the 2 new factions and so weak! Both Albion and Togwa are two of the worst factions because of its lack of speed to move around and really hard to win with. If you are gonna play with a bunch of pros, trust me, you won't stand a chance if you are playing one of these factions.

The new factions felt less than half baked to me. The abilities of the core factions are almost always useful. The new factions have really situational and uninteresting abilities. And IMO their lack of speed is far more hurtful than the boost they get for not having a river. I think the game is better without them.

The lack of +1 speed on the new factions makes the expansion very hard to play and I treat giving the new factions to experienced players as a handicap. Overall, a nice thing to have, but nothing to write home about.
