While empires rise and fall in Eastern Europa, the rest of the world takes notice. Two distant factions, Albion and Togawa, send emissaries to scout the land and employ their own distinct styles of conquering. The expansion works seamlessly with any version of Scythe.

Player Mats: both are strong, fun to play and add variety to the game (in general i do enjoy it a lot more when all players are progressing fast and I do get bored easily when all players are close to doing nothing with a weak board and a weak faction) Factions: To me Togawa adds nice dynamics to the game Albion on the other hand was not needed at all and can stay in the box.

The first expansion to the game that got me into Euro style games. IFA is a good expansion that improves one faction and offers two more factions. Although I feel like both of these factions are a little overpowered. They have abilities that are worlds different than the core factions. Also kind of annoyed that these factions were already on the board and then released separately. It's kind of like having to pay for content that is already on a disk.

The two coolest factions and best pets get sidelined into an expansion where they start unfettered by rivers and can therefore expand somewhat easier / differently. I've not played Scythe nearly enough to need this kind of variety but it's nice to have it there
