In the near future, the mega-corporations of the military-industrial complex have invested trillions developing cybernetically enhanced clone soldiers for off-world exploration. Seeking to build robust teams for future missions — and more importantly, to land lucrative government contracts — they have created special training islands. On these islands, they are able to simulate all of the deadly conditions their soldiers may face on remote planets.
To fund these expensive programs and the military-grade innovations built into their test subjects, the arms manufacturers have teamed up with media moguls to create and promote broadcast competitions live from the island’s training grounds. Thus was born “RELOAD”, the biggest TV show on the planet, with the most charismatic and capable subjects competing in front of millions of avid viewers to win fame for themselves and fortunes for their creators.
In Reload, you get to engage in this battle-royale experience thanks to an innovative action dice system that offers fast-paced play and the freedom to explore the island while fighting for fame.

Luring
Battle royale with a very clever fighting mechanism and a very cool way of scoring points. Plays fast, is easy and action loaded.

Played one game with 3 players for the first time today and it was a beast to learn. I don't know if it's because there's no good videos of teaching it online or the rulebook is just not written well... We made it through a game and it was fun. However, reading through the rulebook now I see we made a lot of mistakes. I definitely felt like the game was a bit too short though, we essentially only get 6 turns each in a 3 player game and it's only going to be 5 each in a 4 player game... Can't wait to play it again with 4. There are a lot of components, but hopefully the box insert will cut down on setup since we can just keep most components in the slots next time. I think once you get 4 players who know what they're doing together for this, it will shine. I'll adjust my rating later.

The rules were a beast to get through but once we got playing it was super fun! I wish it went on a little longer so that building your kit didn't feel like such a waste of time, but that's no fault of the game. I wasn't a fan of the auto healing variant, it made getting a kill too hard.
