This mechanic requires you to place a bid, usually monetary, on items in an auction of goods in order to enhance your position in the game. These goods allow players future actions or improve a position. The auction consists of taking turns placing bids on a given item until one winner is established, allowing the winner to take control of the item being bid on. Usually there is a game rule that helps drop the price of the items being bid on if no players are interested in the item at its current price.

Played once - Everyone decided that once a leader starts forming a large amount of shares in a successful company, it's over. Very hard to stop a runaway leader in this game, maybe that was our lack of experience showing, but that's not a great flaw to show in a first game.

Love the production quality from Capstone Games and has my first real cube rail game I have enjoyed the relatively few plays of it that I've had. Being from Ireland this game also has special sentimental value.

I was surprised how much of hit this was for me. I love the tension owning shares of railroads bring and how you want to expand a railroad you own shares in without boosting the other shareholders too much.
