Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Deck building/Pool building refers to a collection of related mechanisms. Players have a personal pool, or collection, of cards or tokens, that provide different actions and/or resources. A subset of those cards/tokens are randomly drawn each turn.
Deck / Pool Building
Player elimination occurs in multiple-player games (>2) when a player can be eliminated from the game and play continues without the eliminated player.
Player Elimination
Games where you repeat an action (or part of an action) until you decide to stop due to increased (or not) risk of losing points or your turn.

Brian, Brett and I played Clank! with the Sunken Treasure expansion on our Friday game night as well, right after the X-Files Legendary. The expansion doesn't really add too much. Here's a breakdown: - A new, double-sided board. We played on the ship side of the board. There are some neat things with the board (flooded rooms, treasure rooms, paths that give Clank). Nothing new to learn, really. - Flooded rooms. The water filled rooms will give you a damage cube if, at some point during your turn, you do not go into a non-flooded room. You can purchase a SCUBA at the Market to avoid this penalty. Brett and Brian bought the 2 available SCUBA's pretty quickly and I was worried. But, the penalty never really bothered me that much. I took 1 damage from it the entire game and won pretty handily. - New cards. There is also a fair amount of new cards. I like some of the new Companions such as the Merfolk (can ignore the damage from flooded rooms) and the Merling (1 move, 1 buy, 1 fight). The new monsters were also a nice, thematic touch (a giant Goldfish). Clank! has definitely moved up for me and has currently cemented a space in my Top 100 games. The expansions should help keep it there. Mummy's Curse is next!

It adds boards with underwater levels, some new creatures, etc. I still think this game could use class cards or something to help vary it up a little more, but it's nice to expand that potential exploration by two.

Divided the base deck in half and mixed that with the new deck. We had a blast. Gameplay feels different, but in a good way.
