If you have an insatiable thirst for plunder, Clank! Expeditions: Gold and Silk is for you: a series of boards to continue your deck-building adventures.
This first expedition begins in a mine abandoned by the Ruin Dwarven Mining Company (Ruin DMC) when it became infested with monsters. But it still holds plenty of gold for those daring enough to enter.
Still more wealth awaits in the Spider Queen’s Lair. Surely the Spider Queen herself is just a legend meant to scare people away from such a fancy castle…
This expansion requires Clank! A Deck-Building Adventure to play.

Dwarven Mining Company: Mining Gold is a decent side-goal, and is a minor change that still affects your perception of card strengths. I like it, it's neat. Spider Queen's Lair: This board gives you more uses for Swords, Boots, and Skill. So, rather than subtly tweaking card balance, instead every cards you play will end up giving you additional options on each turn. It's actually pretty overwhelming. Web Tokens and Webbed Rooms really put a damper on movement and finding secrets, and even on fighting Monsters. I don't like this board, it ends up downgrading gameplay into just cutting spider webs.
Desiderata
I suppose if you LOVE Clank, then this will be fun for you. But it really doesn't change the game up very much, and I can't see myself wanting to play it again.

Clank is fine, but it doesn’t really excite me. Good for families and kids. Race game against each other. Good, but just doesn’t grab me. This expansion just addds more details which I don’t think helps the game.
