Good game, I think its better than base clank but there are a few issues I think. I do believe its the best competitive legacy game I have played though. 1. The stickering the board to build out the map is cool, but I think it creates some problems. I think this would have been better handled by maybe having 2 boards or just adding stickers to open up new areas already on the board. We ran into a lot of time putting them on the board correctly and also had some wierd issue that I think was an oversight with this implementation 2. The competitive nature of the game I think limits how cool the legacy aspects feel. In cooperative games you can get substantial upgrades and the game can get harder so you feel like you are getting more powerful. Here due to the balance of the game the upgrades are more limited and I think it takes away from the cool factor. 3. the story is fun, theres funny moments in the writing and overall that is a good part of this legacy game vs others. If your group doesnt like flavor text though this might be a game to skip Overall I think its a solid game, probably the best competitive legacy game out there but also made me realize that I will probably stick to cooperative legacy games in the future as we find them more fun.

Good components and the legacy idea is intriguing. It is important to treat this game differently from the original Clank. After one play we have found one or two of the surprises frustrating and clearly need to adjust our play.

It's everything Clanks! but whittier, more involving (but not more complex) and of course, full of surprises! I loved our first play and it only gets better. The new motivations for just finding hidden elements and surprises added to the already great motivation to get stuff and get out is wonderful. The little story bits are funny and exactly what you'd want - including some additional mechanisms thrown in for good measure. I can't wait to see more of the game unfold! EDIT: After 4 plays, there is one take back: the set up time is greatly lengthened! As the game continues to add rules and concepts, there is more set up time involved in just reading and placing stickers and the like. So that is a bit wearying. Still, the game is full of surprises! EDIT: More plays. The game feels overwrought at times - there are at times too many minor (new) details to keep in mind - the contract cards in particular need to be in mind as you move and finish turns. The story is becoming more interesting and I think important which is nice. EDIT: Finished. Worth it? I think so. Perfect? No - as said, it gets to be too much - Clank! with loads of other things happening each game - new locations, new mechanisms - and for me at least, too much. No regrets getting and playing to the end, but after that, no need to play (or continue to play) again. Back to the original Clank!
