Clank! In! Space!
Expansion of: Clank! The evil Lord Eradikus has all but conquered the galaxy, and is now on a victory lap across the sector in his flagship, Eradikus Prime. He may rule with an iron grip, but his most prized artifacts are about to slip through his cyborg claws.

Not nearly as fun as Clank! It takes a fun push your luck rolic in the dungeon and makes it too complicated for what it is. Movement is a slog and restricted at every turn, and the game drags on...simply not fun. I suspect all of the space movie references are part of the appeal, but that will wear off. Stick with Clank! as it is great.

May 2023 - 7 - 5 plays + Fun deck-building, dungeon-crawler In! Space! + I don't know all the references, but the cards are creative and funny = Seems the best strategy may be to stock up on movement points so you can go deep and get a good artifact and still make it out and grab other secrets on the way. Some cards are definitely better for this so if they don't come up or you don't have an opportunity to grab them it can limit your options to win. Only 5 plays so repeated plays (or the expansions we haven't tried yet) may help with more ways to get points. - Game is over pretty quick after someone safely exits (or dies), but when you don't make it out it kind of ruins the fun. Definitely want to at least make it to the docking bay so your points count, otherwise it feels like a wasted time somewhat. - A bit long for what it is. If it was 45-60 minutes that seems like a sweet spot. Two-player hits this, but the one game we did at 4 (with 2 new player which probably impacted it), it took 2.5-3 hours which was way too long.

A fun deck builder that has some push your luck element. Buy this one over the original Clank! unless you're just hung up on the medieval theme. This one is slightly more complex but nothing that a new gamer can't pick up on. Also has a modular board and cards contain sci-fi character spoofs.
