Can you and your party survive the madness, or will you succumb to the mayhem and split (or slaughter!) the party?

Never played the original Betrayal, but this re-theme drew me in right away. I'm always excited to play this one, though it can be a bit steep if you're introducing new players and they're lucky enough to become the traitor. Also... the traitor often has a very strong advantage. This is especially true in lower player count games.

fairly random, with there being little strategy in the beginning except "find good things avoid bad things". the haunt mechanic is super cool, but can be a problem if the "Traitor" is not in a good position to start their objective. fairly fun experience, but it feels more like you are watching the game play out rather than making choices.

A game with easy rules and really fast. Tried with in a group of three player and it was fast and fun. Really thematic. Unfortunately none of the mechanics exalted me. Fortunately the game last one hour for play and this is important for a game where the fortune makes a lot
