Based on the award-winning Betrayal at House on the Hill board game, in Betrayal at Baldur’s Gate you’ll return to Baldur’s Gate again and again thanks to the fifty included scenarios only to discover it’s never the same game twice.
Can you and your party survive the madness, or will you succumb to the mayhem and split (or slaughter!) the party?

it is a cleaner experience than house on the hill. And while there was still a little rules struggle, overall it did just fine. Thankfully it is also not replaced by betrayal legacy.

Although the theme is more fun, my experience was the same as with the original Betrayal at House on the Hill. This is not necessarily a bad game, but I have never had a session (10+ sessions?) that I truly enjoyed. 1) It relies a lot on 'push your luck' with items/omens. 2) The Escalation is unbelievably unbalanced, one way or another. We have never had an exciting game with any tactical decisions; the ending was always a steamroll. I love the theme of the game and the essence of the gameplay, but the execution is very poor in my opinion.
