Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Another crazy quest. You have to either beat the Watcher (nigh impossible) or open the Doors of Durin to win. The Door card was a fun, although frustrating mini game. Basically, each player can, as an Action, discard cards from their hand and then discard the top card of the Encounter deck. If the first letter of the discarded card is the same letter as one of the player's discarded cards, door opens! The enemies in this quest are Tentacles that can do all kinds of nasty things to you. This was a fun one. I won on my first run through.
Flamehearted
Probably my favourite quest - recreates the theme of this scene in the books / movie really really well.

Rating based on the scenario only. Interesting concept but the "tentacle" mechanisms are way too random. Not fun at all. The players barely have any control of what happens during combats with tentacles. In this scenario, luck of the draw is a lot more important than player decisions.
