Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Very thematic scenario. And great from the perspective of the mechanics. I love it. It's quite replayable - you draw 1 plot and 1 villain from 3 of each every time. Long, exhausting and demanding too. -- Outlands trait is introduced in player cards. Not only the trait is introduced, but the Outlands hero + a substantial part of the new archetype deck in fact, I'll be happy to check it.

This quest is quite challenging! It has a lot of replay value as well, with one of three plot cards and one of three villains being used each time. The added variability came in handy since it took me several attempts to beat it. In fact I had to switch to two-handed play to get my first win. I still haven't beaten it with only one deck.

A very challenging quest. The Outlanders make their appearance here in full for the player decks. I'm not a big fan. From a deckbuilding perspective it's done for you. Victory with Outlands decks feels cheap and unsatisfying, because it doesn't really require you to think.
