Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management

A superb Quest! I lost twice, but they were close both times. This has a really fun way of getting the Enemy cards out. When you set up the Quest, you take the Enemies from 2 of the 3 decks and shuffle them (along with 3 Clue cards) to form an Underground deck. When certain locations are revealed, they add Underground cards face down below them. And when the Location is cleared, the Underground cards are revealed directly to the Staging Area. This felt like an Ambush and really works with the theme of the set. The trick with this Quest is Location management and getting huge Quest numbers. There were points where I had 8 Locations in the Staging Area. Anything that can add tokens to Locations without Questing is highly beneficial. This was a real blast and I can't wait to give it another go.

Supercool quest! No complicated mechanisms, but a difficult quest nonetheless. High replay value. Wins/losses: 3/2

Much like Heirs of Numenor, I think this quest is on the side of being a little too difficult. I don't think I ever beat this one.
