Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Ok quest. Hidden card mechanic is cool, but can be hard if unlucky. Starts off very difficult (I had 18 distant threat turn 1 once in a 2-player game), but the curve smoothens out nicely at the end. Wins/losses: 1/2

A challenging scenario, where enemies just swarm on you. Had to make a very aggressive deck to kill them all, although in the end we won on 2nd try. Will play again.

Hero :star::nostar: Cards :star::star::halfstar: Quest :star::star::star::star::nostar: Despite granting the heroes the use of two allies this quest hits you hard right from the beginning and can wipe a party in the first couple turns if enough hidden cards end up being enemies. Once you get going it can be quite fun, although the brutal uraks really lived up to their name and resulted in a number of wipes for me.
