Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

A fairly mediocre quest that I feel I won due to sheer luck. To win, players have to not have any Osgilliath locations in the Staging area or as an Active Location. When once is completed, the player adds it to their area. Many effects can cause the locations to be moved back to the Staging area. I went through 2 turns where I didn't draw any Osgilliath locations and was able to quest through the 2 that were out. The deck is easily 70% locations, so I definitely lucked out on that. I might play through this one again and see if it gives me the challenge I think it will.

A more tedious quest that can get out of hand quickly. I played this with three people and we probably had control of every location in the deck.
