Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Hero :star::halfstar: Cards :star::star::nostar: Quest :star::star::star::star::nostar: This is one of those quests that can quickly swamp a party in locations and, given the requirement of needing to have complete control of the battlefield, punish an otherwise well equipped team. It has gone both ways for me and did end up providing me with one of the largest battles that I have ever been a part of when location after location kept being overrun by the orcs and required re-taking. Good fun and about the right difficulty.

I like this one. Its really hard as players have to fight off a swarm of enemies while crossing the Anduin. The West bank, East bank thing was a bit annoying because you could draw cards that didn't apply to you, but still a fun quest.

The third cycle of expansions continues adding more awesomeness to Lord of the Rings LCG, in form of new heroes, cards for the decks, and new quests. With Heirs of Númenor thing have been shaken up, with different statistics used for questing and increased difficulty. The adventure packs of this cycle definitely follow up on that! Assault on Osgiliath contains a bunch of new cards for the players decks: Faramir as a lore hero, and the dreaded Palanthir! The scenario itself is a single-scene entertaining beast, putting quite a pressure on players.
