Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Some board games incorporate elements of role playing. It can be that players control a character that improves over time. It can also be a game that encourages or inspires storytelling.

Originally an 8; not as much fun in later plays. Not really using the setting as much as one might expect.

It's more of a 'cat and mouse' style of game play, with a lot of bad things occurring; Feels imbalanced in my opinion. The setup isn't very clear. It's a bit confusing overall, and could have had a more detailed setup guide. The rewards are also crap for the end.

One play. We were murdered by this POD. That said, it was structurally very solid. Definitely raised the bar on the structure of scenarios seen in the core box. Very cool, but combat heavy (and hard as nails). 10/10 (in the sense I consider it a mandatory inclusion if you own the core, not that I wish to play it regularly). Overall rating (7) is my likelihood to suggest including it in any particular campaign cycle. I do not play Arkham LCG in standalone (yet?), so no opinion there.
