As an adder to Revolution, this does feel like a tacked-on extra. It makes for an awkward gameplay loop to check the Experience content before and after completing one of the actual mission boxes. It seems like more of the meta-narrative has probably been moved into Experience away from the core game missions. The skills and weaknesses add a needed layer of complexity and carry over from the fairly sterile core missions.

∞ Unlike the white cycle, which had the overarching storyline (half-) baked into every module, this is an attempt to separate that experience out into an optional box so you can play the blue cycle modules in any order while ignoring any connection between them if you wish. I think I like what this is trying to do, but the rules are really shaggy, and after two sessions I'm still not sure we're doing it right. We're having fun with it, but that's mostly because we bring 90% of the emergent narrative to the table with us. YMMV. Played through: [thing=287742]The Hadal Project[/thing] [thing=271524]A Midsummer Night[/thing] [thing=295480]Cavendish[/thing]

(EspaceJeux, 2020-02-07) Experience adds a bit of the character building to Time Stories Revolution, adding a pre and post game portion to add new skills and gain/cure negative conditions.
