Robinson Crusoe: Mystery Tales is the second big expansion for Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island. Unlike its predecessor, it not only includes a campaign (titled "The Lost City of Z") in which you follow great explorer Lieutenant Colonel Percy Fawcett, but also a full set of rules and components that can be played with the base game of Robinson Crusoe, along with two standalone scenarios.
Robinson Crusoe: Mystery Tales introduces ten new characters, the new deck of event cards, three new decks of adventure cards, new beast cards, new mystery cards, and the new mechanism of sanity that you can use in the base game of Robinson Crusoe to change it into a game of dreadful stories! Additionally, the expansion includes five missions that form a long and epic campaign: "The Lost City of Z".

Great game again. But you will need lot of time for getting answers to so many questions, that haven't been explained in the rules. The publisher/author made here again no good job and BGG is needed here for sure to study. A learning curve to critics for the basic game does not exist. A lost chance also to answer the FAQs in that expansion. The rules do get a 4-5, the game a 10. Also the description is sometimes bad. For example no explaining on which dice to stick on the new stickers (stick it on hurting dice) and the "green" sticker with transparence get black on the red dice. A simple appendix (like for example in Feast for Odin) with explaining all possible problems of any card in details would have been so helpful. I also missed the victory point system from basic game hardly at the end of Z campaign. You just win or loose. Why downgrading a game at this important point? Great option: You can play older scenarios again with new elements/roles/horror modus.

Uneven campaign difficulty, difficulty of setup when playing with this expansion or the base game, dice stickers and some unclear rules drop this expansion down to rating 6.

Woow what an expansion! The only shame is that the monster doesnt have any pictures and I want more. The rules are well written and the expansion doesnt convolute the game just add more horror. I only played the horror mode and have no opinion on the campaign.
